Hidden Lodge Winter Excitement

Between Runs. Hidden lodge Guests relax

Winter is one of our favorite seasons at Hidden Lodge, the town is so beautiful at the moment and there is so much happening.   The official Winter Festival went off without a hitch and ski season is in now in full swing.  There has been tonnes of snow dumped, and the mountains are bustling with activity.  Although we are half way through the ski season there are still plenty more events to come, including the Audi Quattro Winter Games. The games are returning to Queenstown August 25 and are a must-do, free event. Being able to see some of the world’s best free skiing, snowboarding, alpine ski racing, cross-country skiing and curling at no cost is really cool.  After a day of sport, spectators can then go on to enjoy the Winter Games on Mountain Music Festival!

The Winter Games continues through till September 10 and at the same time, Gay Ski Week commences on September 2nd. Gay Ski Week is an annual event for Queenstown, and there are so many awesome activities to take part in, from Night Skiing to Cabaret. It is a calendar event enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, and a time to let your hair down and ‘paint the town rainbow’.
