Rough and Tumble Bush Lodge
From the front deck you can almost cast a fishing line into the mighty Mokihinui River. From each room, the jagged edge of Mt Glasgow silhouettes an untouched sky. Any direction you look, you're immersed in the native wilderness of the West Coast. Our main lodge epitomises rustic elegance, with massive red beech dining tables and handcrafted stone fireplace. Our five beautifully appointed guest rooms, each named after a gold mine from the 1870s, feature sweeping views from King or twin single beds both downstairs and in our unique bird's eye view lofts; and ensuite bathrooms. The tariff (as stated for single or double occupancy)includes superb 'rustic gourmet' dinners, homecooked breakfasts and picnic lunches for guests with us more than one night. Enjoy our bushwalks and kayaks, wander along the famous Charming Creek Walkway, visit deserted local beaches and the beautiful Oparara Arches.
